This was your typical ‘hit by a meteor and get super powers’ comic… been there, done that. The characters were ones we’d met before.
The rich guy recruiting them and running the show who recruits the others into a group,
the girl who has her life turned upside down with her new powers causing her to lose love,
and the jilted lover with the bad past…
it was fairly run of the mill. The art was really well done, I like that gritty older style of it being detailed, but at the same time simple (more focus on a background with the face of the person less detailed, or vice versa) it really brought your focus where it belonged.
The actual dealings with the meteor and what happened to cause them was the highlight of the read and I would be interested to check out more for that, but the story itself has definitely been done before.

I know, I know… Mixed superheroes… and not even superheroes with the same origin story!! But, Superman being shot to Earth and the Meteor being shot to Earth just made me think of this! And I invented this one myself from Superman’s colours in his uniform!! Red, Blue, Yellow and White
Ingredients
- 1/3 oz Grenadine
- 1/3 oz Blue Curacao
- 1/3 oz Banana Liqueur
- 1/3 oz Coconut Rum
Directions
- Layer each one, in the order listed over the back of a spoon into a shot glass
- CHEERS!!

Sounds like a cross between Marvel and DC, and I can’t imagine they can be bettered. Superman drink! 😀 😀

It really wasn’t bad.. Just a premise that gas been done a lot before and this one didn’t seem to add anything to differentiate it from the pack! I always love a good comic, manga and graphic novel! I try to throw in some reviews for them! 😄

It’s been a long time since I indulged in a comic book and I do like the drawings, but the story sounds a little too familiar.The Superman drink looks interesting. I never heard of that one. 🙂 🙂

I actually made that one up myself! Lol! I couldn’t think of a good superhero kind of drink so… Why not invent my own?? Lol!
