Happy National Moscato Day!!!

HAPPY NATIONAL MOSCATO DAY!!!!

Moscato is usually not my cup of tea… It’s my glass of wine. HA HA HA! Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.

Anyways, Moscato is not my favourite type of wine (it’s too sweet for my tastes) but, for those out there who want a sweeter wine, HAVE AT HER! It’s nice chilled on a beautifu warm day though! (Like today!) So, time to sip some on the patio!

I hate to recommend it… it makes me cringe… but, if you don’t like the sweetness you can always try adding soda water or ice cubes to the wine. I’M SORRY WINE GODS! DON’T STRIKE ME DOWN WITH YOUR CORK SCREW OF SHAME!!!  (This suggestion came from my younger sister.)

  1. Hakuna Moscato…. hahahahahahah

I used to drink it all the time but nowadays I can’t handle the sweetness. I got a bottle as a gift over Christmas and I did indeed make spritzers out of it. Lol.

      1. For something that sweet……..
I don’t mind Canadian ice wine, especially as I go into that knowing it’s a desert wine and it’s served in a tiny glass. But a big cup of sweet wine… nope.

  2. Oh my dear sweet Soul Sister. Wow I can’t believe we found each other on this huge world of bloggers. The last person who brought a bottle of Moscato to my house got whacked upside the head. No I’m serious. The fact that he’s an ex boyfriend has nothing to do with it.

    1. Ha ha ha!!!! Well, that’s that WordPress is good for. Finding people who speak to your very soul!! I’m definitely a red gal myself… A 0 sugar red gal… But, I do drink some whites for summer!! (and for wine tastings. I keep thinking they’ll win me over!)

      1. Have you tried some of the higher quality Pinot Grigio? Or Sauvignon Blanc? I personally prefer the SB because it doesn’t taste so metallic the way the Pinot Grigio does.

  3. Can I saw Happy Wino Day? I had 4 glasses of chardonnay (oops, I am supposed to not be drinking before this trip) but no moscato. Would have been odd at the bar. I do like sweet wines tho… loved the Ice Wines when I was in Canada, too.

  4. I’m always a fan of sweeter wine, but then the hangover is greater the next day. Don’t worry I think the wine Gods have already stuck me down. I used to be in a wine and book club (we drank more than talked lol) There was always a couple of really dry cheap wines at the end left so we would mix them with other wines to make them taste better at the end of the night. We were all pretty drunk by then so I don’t know why the taste bothered us at that point… Oh well.
