So, I really need to start getting caught up on some VERY OLD TAGS!!! I’m sorry that it took me this long to get to them, I guess I’ve just had so much to write lately that I haven’t really had a chance! So, I’m going to start to try to get at least one out a week!

I was nominated for this one MANY MOONS AGO by Claire over at Cup of books  (please stop over and check out her fantastic reviews!!) and James J Cudney at This Is my Truth Now ,  Jay is on a fabulous vacation right now, but hopefully he notices this when he gets back and sees that I DID IT!

Seven Facts About Me

-Some of you know this already… but, for those of you who don’t, I AM A HORROR QUEEN!! I love anything horror. Especially really cheesy wonderful 80/90s stuff!

-I absolutely LOVE being outside and as soon as the temperature reaches positive digits, you will find me out of the house as much as I can possibly manage!!

-I always have at least 3 books on the go at one time. 1 physical book, 1 ebook, and one audiobook. I try to keep the genres different so that I can tell them apart and remember what’s going on!

-I am super morbid and have figured out how many books I can viably read in my lifetime to make sure that I get the most out of them. (Btw, that # is now 11250… which doesn’t seem like a lot because I already have 823 on my TBR Goodreads list, and that’s just the START!!

-I have a huge crush on certain celebrities that no one understands…

I could name weirder celebrities… but I honestly can’t think of them right now!!!

 

-I should have been born decades before I was, as most of the REAL loves of my life are, sadly, dead….

-I love throwing knives! I practice in my backyard all the time and, although I’m not great at it I hope to get better!! …one day I will be a great ninja!

I am Nicole and I am an avid reader and an alcohol connoisseur.. which it totally different from an alcoholic.. I swear. I am trying to get into the editing world and in doing so I learned that giving my opinions and networking in as many forms of media as I could is the way to get heard! I wanted to create an open forum to pair alcoholic drinks with books based on the theme, feel and/or content of the book. I will also say that I am very honest and I will not pander to the popular or feel the need to give a good review just because I got an ARC read of a certain book. I believe that everyone deserves the truth no matter how much it hurts.. EVEN ME! I would love everyone’s opinions! AND LET THE DRINKS FLOW!! (Let’s just not have the drinks make the honesty get TOO out of hand!) ;p

    1. Yay!! I’m not the only one! I don’t think I have a crush on an actor under 50 years old, honestly! Ha ha! Well, not like that’s weird NOW I suppose, at my age. But, it’s been this way since I was very young. I like them mature I suppose. 😂😉

  16. Thank you so much for the nomination! Calculating the number of books you can read in your lifetime is the kind of crazy thing only a book lover would do! 😂 Now I find myself very curious to know how many I could possibly read… 🤔

      2. Ha ha ha!! I keep forgetting that even the 90s is classic now!! 😂😂 ELLIOT SMITH is classic?? That’s so sad!! (btw, I LOVE Elliot Smith. Walz #2 and junk bond trader are 2 of my favourite songs.)

      3. Hahaha…. I laughed out loud with Elliot Smith is classic?? I think our age differences are huge. For me his songs are classic.. I grew up with Taylor Swift songs.. hahaha… I love his ‘Between the Bars’, needle in the hay, The Biggest Lie, and yeah Walz #2…
        This is really funny, I always consider Smith as classic. Also I love Bob Dylan… 🙂 🙂 🙂

  19. Throwing knives!? That is so awesome! I loved reading this. I adore Willem Dafoe, Steve Buscemi, and James Spader. I think I had a crush on James Spader in Pretty and Pink even though he was a total d**k in that. Hahaha! Awesome tag. Thanks for sharing more about you. ❤💖❤

    1. Yay!! Great minds think alike! 💖💖 James Spader was a dick a lot in his young career. Ha ha! Didn’t make him any less hot. Although, I had a HUGE crush of Jon Cryer (Awww ducky!) in pretty in pink. Him lip syncing to Otis Redding … *weak in the knees* 💖💖

  20. Congratulatiooons on the awaard ❤ It was really great to know more about you, I really like watching horror movies, but I get scared easily so I usually have to watch them with someone else hahaha! We need a Gene Kelly in this modern world!!!! Also I need to ask, Why Steve Buscemi? Hahahaha

  25. Well done to getting to this tag, Nicole. I also battle as the nominations take me ages. I am really intrigued that you love horror but are not a fan of Stephen King. I think The Shining is the most scary book I have ever read. I was terrified for months when I read it first at the age of 10 years old [hidden behind the coach in the sitting room].

    1. Ha ha! I love his IDEAS, I can’t stand his long winded descriptions. That man can take PAGES describing something as simple as a table. It’s drives me crazy! Is he paid by the word?? He also always seems to throw in some sort of strange perverse scene that is usually completely unnecessary. Why?
      I always want to like him and have tried Re-reading his books many times… To no avail. 😖😕
