Music Monday- Who did it Better?? One

Hello All!

Welcome to Music Monday started by Drew @ The Tattooed Book Geek.

For the next little while I’n going to be doing “Who did it Better” stand off’s between different versions of the same song! Some will be similar, some will be genre benders, you never know what you’ll get!! I’m going to start you guys off with a fairly normal one…. Ha. Ha. “One” …… THAT’S RIGHT! For my FIRST Stand off, I figured it was only fitting to do two versions of the song “One”

I am Nicole and I am an avid reader and an alcohol connoisseur.. which it totally different from an alcoholic.. I swear. I am trying to get into the editing world and in doing so I learned that giving my opinions and networking in as many forms of media as I could is the way to get heard! I wanted to create an open forum to pair alcoholic drinks with books based on the theme, feel and/or content of the book. I will warn anyone who joins me here that you will get a very eclectic range of books as I will read anything from Rom Coms, sci-fi, and fantasy to Bizzaro, Steampunk and Biographies, whatever pairs with an interesting drink! I will also say that I am very honest and I will not pander to the popular or feel the need to give a good review just because I got an ARC read of a certain book. I believe that everyone deserves the truth no matter how much it hurts.. EVEN ME! I would love everyone’s opinions! AND LET THE DRINKS FLOW!! (Let’s just not have the drinks make the honesty get TOO out of hand!) ;p

  1. Hmm…this is a very interesting feature…And it seems I am the first to vote here: Yay me (ahum…moving on 😳)
    I’m going to have to go with numero uno (or the original version to put it another way 😊).

      1. I thought that was the case yesterday as well. There also has been a very small amount of posts the past few days. Maybe everyone is going on a holiday (or have travelled through a magical portal into an unknown hell dimension). It’s got to be one of those…don’t know which one though🤔🤔

      2. Well, being dubbed the “Deviless” if they found my portal to the hell dimension, I would know about it. As for where everyone is… Apparently that answer is in the store I manage, as we have been bonkers today. Apparently no one actually works on Mondays anymore… Except me. I must have missed the memo. 😕 But, the last couple of days have definitely been a little slow!

      3. Hmm…they haven’t found my portal either (it contains so many protective seals that it’s impossible to find)…but wait…does this mean that there is a third one out there 😳😳
        Welll…I worked today….so I missed that memo too lol 😂😂
        But yeah..don’t know what the reason is either. Maybe wordpress is having issues again…one never knows 😊

  6. Not getting it to open on my phone properly… my fault. Will have to listen to them later. Then again I’m also in a public place… probably need to listen to music chosen by you in a more private environment 🤪😜

  11. hmmmm. the first one sounds like it was recorded in the 60s or 70s, and the second one recently, with better equipment. i like both, and i’d listen to both versions depending on my mood. not helpful, huh?

      2. Well, you’ll definitely have some opportunity!… And some weird and surprising ones!! It’s going to be SO MUCH FUN!! I couldn’t even say it was going to be a month because I have so many planned! 😂
