Game On! Cat Edition

Wait…. Cat Edition?? What does that even mean!? Well folks, it means that I went on a gaming spree on Steam… CAT STYLE!

Here are some of the games that I played:

Cat or Bread?

First of all, does anyone have any idea what language this is?? I couldn’t understand any of it, but the premise SEEMS to be that you click on the cats, and not the bread…

although, there are different game modes, like this one

Which appears to be a cat in a jar, and I’m not very sure WHAT you do!

All in all a 1 out of 5 stars!

 

Cat Goes Fishing

This one is pretty relaxing and simple, hold down the mouse button to cast, and try not to have the smaller fish get eaten by the bigger fish as you reel them in! As you level up by catching fish you can get better bait to catch bigger fish!

This one had Buddy’s seal of approval! But, I feel like it would get a little boring after a while.

Are there still any fans of “Angry Birds” out in the world?? Because, if there are, this game is for you! You are a fat cat trying to get your cookies.

You need to cut through the boards, on which the cat sits, at different angles to get him into the jar of cookies, hopefully picking up some cupcakes a long the way for extra points. The levels get more and more difficult as they go on, and there are quite a few of them for such an inexpensive price point! Definitely a game that makes you think to kill some time!

Catlateral Damage

Has anyone here played a wonderfully brilliant game called “Katamary Damacy”?? Rolling around your Katamari trying to pick up as much stuff as you can? Well, take that theme and knock it off the shelf…. LITERALLY!

You are a cat and the entire point of the game is to do what cats do best, knock stuff off of other stuff!!! This game is SURPRISINGLY FUN! There is a timer to keep you running and jumping like crazy and so much stuff to knock over. There are also hidden power ups to help you run faster and jump higher helping you get to other areas and knock over more stuff!

My one complaint about this game is that their gravity system doesn’t work perfectly, jumping can be a bit of a pain sometimes and there are some glitches with falling through things every once in a while.

But, they won me back over by having me jump in the box t end the level… How perfect is that??

(Let’s just not have the drinks make the honesty get TOO out of hand!) ;p

    1. ALL of the games are the type that you can play for hours and then go… What did I just do?? (even cat or bread… I played that way too long because I kept thinking I could figure it out!! 😂) I had even more cat games to include, but I figure I’ll save those for another time… Cat games part 2. 😉

    1. I can’t remember what I paid, but it was one of those… It’s SO CHEAP that I have to see the point of it! (spoiler… THERE IS NO POINT!!! 😂😂) Maybe I would have got more out of it if I could speak the language!! Maybe it’s secretly the best game ever! 🐱😹

      1. It is really a punny (not funny but punny) 😂 because they call a kitty sitting in the “bread loaf” position, so at least the game makers have a sense of humor?! 😂 I am sure there are some funny jokes in that other language, too!

  8. Hahaha! They all look interesting, I would also think the first one is Russian, but could be any other with cyrilic alphabet 🤔. That cat in the jar reminded me of a chainmail, fake of course, (just realize no one sends those ones anymore) back in 2000’s claiming that “bonsai kittens” were created by rasing them inside jars and feeding them through a tube. 🤔

    1. Wow! Chain mail!! Haven’t had that brought up in YEARS!!… Unless it is in a fantasy novel that I read. 😉 Ha ha! Weird that it just kind of disappeared!! I remember way back to when they were chain LETTERS!! As in actual written letters that you sent through the postal service! 😂😂😂

  9. The best thing about this post? (Besides it being a joy to read as always) You bringing up Katamary Damacy: I freaking LOVED that game. It was so unique and incredibly relaxing all at the same time (and now I have the themesong of that game stuck in my head again 😂😂).

    2. I LOVE Night in the Woods!! I waited about 2 years for that game because they kept going for more money on stupid Kickstarter!! It took FOREVER to come out! What a weird game and I hilarious mashup of genres! I’d say I should put it up with “cat games part 2” because I didn’t even GET to a couple more! (yes… I own THAT MANY CAT GAMES!) But, that game may need a post all of its own! 😁

      1. It was so good! I just loved the dialogue. I was thinking I should write a post about it too. I wasn’t really paying attention during the Kickstarter for that one, so thankfully I got to miss that drama and just play the final product.

And 😂😂😂😂okay, if that was a real game, I’d have to buy it as well! 😉 I would honestly hate to actually tally up the amount of money I spend on ridiculous games like “cat or bread”, “there’s poop in my soup” and “shower with your dad simulator” 😂😂 and I have 503 steam games, most of this weirdness! 😉

        I spend way to much money on Tea but Da yu Ling high mountain Oolong tea is my crack .
