  3. Which book did you start with? I feel like I have to finish what I’m reading now and that’ll take me into Saturday. Maybe I can jump in after that and try to catch up. Cheers, Brian

      1. OK – I’m in. Soon as I finish what I’m working on – I’ll try Color. I’ve been wondering about these for a long time. Not sure how i never gave them a try. 😀

      2. Awesome!! If you don’t put up a review for Colour, let me know what you thought! I’ll be sure interested to see! Also, feel free to check out all of our reviews for it. The one thing I love about this is a lot of our opinions were varying, so it winds up like a little book club! It was so much fun! 💖💖

I haven’t had a chance to review any poetry yet, and I feel like it will be something that I may have on my blog (I have some I would love to feature) but I may not put a rating on it… We’ll see. I feel that poetry it so personal. I absolutely love it and read quite a bit and follow at least 30 blogs that feature poetry that I love (yours, definitely!! 💖💖), but it’s so much harder to put a “rating” on it, as normal rules don’t always apply… Although, I suppose I rate a lot of things that I read on how it makes me feel!

Sometimes that makes it even more challenging, because if you you write sonething from an objective point of view, but it’s personal to someone who reads it and they reach out expecting you to understand. Do you get that a lot? What would you do? (I feel like this has turned into an interview. 😉)

      5. I am a people person but introverted in many ways. My content is mostly about “Perception” so I try to write from a widows, father, teen, girl, woman POV. I try to touch every emotion we all feel. So to answer your question yes I do. I don’t mind the interview. 😀

      6. Good answer! I completely understand what you mean by an “introverted people person”, it’s good to know that even if you’re not necessarily writing things from a place of personal experience, you can still be understanding if someone makes a comment FROM personal experience. I feel it’s hard, either way, with poetry. You write something personal, but someone gets a different message from it… Do you argue? Or do you value that your poetry can be recognized on multiple levels… And if it’s not personal, can you be understanding enough to receive the meaning you may not have imagined when writing it??

      7. Well I enjoy writing content that isn’t too complex too decipher, it may be abstract and colorful but most do comprehend it. I do like a good discussion on it not necessarily argue. Yes I love the multiple levels so yes.

      8. Abstract and colourful is my favourite sort of poetry. 😉 I shouldn’t say that. I’m partial to anything that has meaning or makes me think. If you’ve followed any of my reviews you know that I have very eclectic tastes and I enjoy anything that gives me intense feelings of any sort! 😅🙄

Maybe after me grilling you so much we should be planning on turning this into a guest interview post on your poetry! 😊 I’ve put you through the ringer, so let me know and I’m sure I can come up with a couple more questions and make this a pretty good post! 😊

  10. Terry Pratchett’s worlds always remind me a bit of the artwork of Michael Cheval……..whimsical, somewhat fairytale-like but with that off-kilter edge that keeps you from being totally comfortable. Great post! He’s a favorite of mine. Are we still on for our Sunday collaboration? 🙂
