Happy Music Monday all!! Started by Drew @the Tattooed Book Geek, this is slowly becoming my favourite day of the week!!!

Before I get to who won last weeks stand off, I’d like to thank everyone who contributed ideas for more “Who Did it Better?” ideas!! I can’t wait to get to all of them!! I am Nicole and I am an avid reader and an alcohol connoisseur.. which it totally different from an alcoholic.. I swear. I am trying to get into the editing world and in doing so I learned that giving my opinions and networking in as many forms of media as I could is the way to get heard! I wanted to create an open forum to pair alcoholic drinks with books based on the theme, feel and/or content of the book. I will warn anyone who joins me here that you will get a very eclectic range of books as I will read anything from Rom Coms, sci-fi, and fantasy to Bizzaro, Steampunk and Biographies, whatever pairs with an interesting drink! I will also say that I am very honest and I will not pander to the popular or feel the need to give a good review just because I got an ARC read of a certain book. I believe that everyone deserves the truth no matter how much it hurts.. EVEN ME! I would love everyone’s opinions! AND LET THE DRINKS FLOW!! (Let’s just not have the drinks make the honesty get TOO out of hand!) ;p

  1. Yes it’s monday again! I’m in total and utter shock here to see who won last week’s standoff. I totally did not see that one coming, at all 😮😮😳😳 (No of course I am not being sarcastic….would not dream of it 😅).
    Well…this is a tough one. I do think that in the Whitney will turn out to be the winner, but just for the heck of it: I’m going to go with Dolly. You just can’t beat her voice 😊😊

      2. I LOVE to play Devil’s Advocate!! If EVERYONE likes something… How do you have a proper discussion?! It’s then like “oh, I liked that!” “I liked that too!!!” *chirp chirp * *chirp chirp* I like to spice things up! 😉🥂😘

      3. Haha…true. It can pretty much stop a conversation dead in it’s tracks and create some truly awkward situations. (Like the kinds where you wish the floor would open up and swallow you whole lol 😂😂).

      4. Oh, that’s me on a daily basis!! This is why I write on the computer… My mouth can’t get ahead of my brain that way!! 😉 Although, sometimes I get excited about a comment and quickly write and send it, then I think…. I hope that cam off the right way!! 🤣😅

      5. Haha…Well I’m the same in that way too. I think I can probably do better here than in real life, but yeah comments can sometimes be misinterpreted. (Which luckily so far hasn’t happened yet…at least….I think it hasn’t 🤔🤔 😂😂 Oh, and I think you have nothing to worry about your comments are always great 😊❤️

  3. Gotta go with Whitney as well. On an unrelated note, havent been able to start Discworld yet. Wasn’t able to do as much reading this weekend as planned – spent the time writing instead – working on my own stuff. I’ll get there – may just take another day or two. Cheers, Brian

    1. This is definitely a tough one! Thanks for the vote!!.. On your unrelated note, I haven’t picked up the book yet either! Ha ha! It’s sitting in my computer desk staring at me, but I have a couple of other books to complete before we get to it!! (Thankfully, we have a few more weeks to go! 😉)

  7. I’d like to cast my vote for Carlos Santana please. Lol! In this one , I don’t think there’s a way to choose. Both are amazing versions and are done so differently I don’t know that you can compare them.

    1. Well, I said this to Fraggle as well, it’s not “Who did it FIRST? ” it’s “Who did it BETTER?” Lol! I feel like too many people are hung up on who did the original version of a song and won’t stop to appreciate another version! I hope people can get over that and just give their honest opinions! That’s what makes this fun! 💖💖 A vote for Whitney, it is! 😁😁🍻
