Hello, all!!

Apparently this catching up and getting back into the swing of things is taking longer than expected. I’m sorry I’m just posting this now, leaving you guys a whopping 4 days to read the book and get your reviews going.. But, FOUR WHOLE DAYS!! Ha ha!!
Thank you to Kathy for actually putting up a post and getting us some participants for this month! So, I’m stealing her lovely post to try to entice anyone in my neck of the woods to join!!
I swear that next month I will be back to my old self (ya, ya… we’ll believe it when we see it…)

Because I have ZERO concept of time and think “fashionably late” means arriving when the rest of the guests are just leaving (tip: if you ever invite me to a party, lie and say that it starts two hours before the actual start time), I’m writing this announcement post a week late. *Long sigh*

For those who don’t know, Nicole (Bookworm Drinketh) and I started up the Discworld Readathon in July (you can read about its inception here). Our plan is to read through one Discworld book every month and then post a review on the last Monday.

It’s one of those “What have I gotten myself into?” deals, but like, in a good way–with a smiley face attached to the end.

I am Nicole and I am an avid reader and an alcohol connoisseur.. which it totally different from an alcoholic.. I swear. I am trying to get into the editing world and in doing so I learned that giving my opinions and networking in as many forms of media as I could is the way to get heard! I wanted to create an open forum to pair alcoholic drinks with books based on the theme, feel and/or content of the book. I will warn anyone who joins me here that you will get a very eclectic range of books as I will read anything from Rom Coms, sci-fi, and fantasy to Bizzaro, Steampunk and Biographies, whatever pairs with an interesting drink! I will also say that I am very honest and I will not pander to the popular or feel the need to give a good review just because I got an ARC read of a certain book. I believe that everyone deserves the truth no matter how much it hurts.. EVEN ME! I would love everyone’s opinions! AND LET THE DRINKS FLOW!! (Let’s just not have the drinks make the honesty get TOO out of hand!) ;p

  2. Haha, well look at what you can do in four days?? I mean really that’s..erm…(sorry getting out the calculator …erm….) a whole 96 hours of time! That means…plenty of time 😊😊
    Really no need for any apologies. As I said before: you work hard enough! We understand (yes we…plural 😂😂) Take all the time you need….mean that.(oh and let me save you the trouble in advance: Hm. 😂😂😂😂).

      I’ve pretty much decided that I’m just going to give up on sleep entirely. I mean… Who needs it, right?? There aren’t enough hours in the day. As it is, I allocated myself 2 hrs to read posts and comment to people to catch up, then I was going to really buckle down and get some reading done… I’m into hr 3 and I feel like I’ve made no headway… (sorry to anyone who hasn’t heard from me yet!! I swear I’m back and I’ll get to you!! I really do want to see what you’ve all been up to.)… Maybe I need a better system..

  7. Oh nouuuss, Im soo behind! it pains me. I’ll catch on eventually, because I do want read them all so, I will somehow, manage to do art challenges, sculpting, adulting and reviewing… Nicole, tell me your secrets for multitasking \o/

Well, seeing as this review is now 2 days late… I don’t think I’m the person to ask. 😂😂 I’m hoping to get my review up today but someone threw a wheel in my spokes as I can’t find the alcohol I want for my drink… I don’t know whether I should still use the recipe? Or think of something else… But, it’s SO PERFECT!! ❤️❤️
