      1. Well, my main goal is to just try to introduce people to new music! Even if they don’t win, I hope there are some people out there who listen to this version and think… Well, they’re no pink Floyd, but they have talent! I wonder what else they sing?? Many times I already know who’s going to win… I just hope people give the contenders they’re chance and take them for the talent that, at least I think they have! Ha ha!! 😉

      1. Sometimes it’s not even nostalgia. There are certain songs, like Wish You Were Here, which are just too personal and interconnected to the band/artist who originally wrote it. The covers of those songs then never seem as genuine as the originals because there is never as much passion or feeling in the song. Anyone can cover a bog standard love song but covering a meaningful song is so hard to do and nearly always comes across as just a pale imitation of the original.

  1. Well…Fraggle isn’t here yet, and she probably will be mad at me again. But….I’m choosing the Milk Carton Kids…😅😅 Just like that version slightly better (with a very narrow margin though….😊).

  2. Have to give it to Pink Floyd! Missed last weeks song but you should look for the video of Chris Cornell and his daughter singing that song together, it is quite heartbreaking!

    1. Ya! I thought it was pretty good!! I knew it would have a tough time against Pink Floyd, since they are amazing and nostalgic… But, my goal here sometimes is just to get people looking at other bands. They may not win, but I hope that some people wind up thinking “that was pretty good! I wonder what else they sing?”… That’s my ultimate goal in these face offs.

    1. Ha ha!! Hey, everyone has a right to their own opinion! And, I wouldn’t have done this face off if I didn’t like their version as well. A lot of the time I know a version won’t win… But, I hope that someone will still see the talent in the artist or band and at least be introduced to something new!! It really bothers me when I get a reply from someone voting and I almost feel like they didn’t even listen to the contender because they already had their winner in mind… That completely defeats the purpose…
