I am Nicole and I am an avid reader and an alcohol connoisseur.. which it totally different from an alcoholic.. I swear. I am trying to get into the editing world and in doing so I learned that giving my opinions and networking in as many forms of media as I could is the way to get heard! I will warn anyone who joins me here that you will get a very eclectic range of books as I will read anything from Rom Coms, sci-fi, and fantasy to Bizzaro, Steampunk and Biographies, whatever pairs with an interesting drink! I will also say that I am very honest and I will not pander to the popular or feel the need to give a good review just because I got an ARC read of a certain book. I believe that everyone deserves the truth no matter how much it hurts.. EVEN ME! I would love everyone’s opinions! AND LET THE DRINKS FLOW!! (Let’s just not have the drinks make the honesty get TOO out of hand!) ;p

  3. Oh good lord. The metal one, what is he doing with his head?? for one, and it’s a complete travesty musically speaking. Utter FAIL. The gangsta rap thing one. It should be a criminal offence for rap artists to cover any MOR soft rock song, especially this one. Complpetely gratuitous bikini totties so inappropriate for the lyrics and that bass and drum beat stuff or whatever crap it is that they are doing makes me puke. 🤮 I actually liked the Weezer one, they beefed it up and made a lovely sound, I don’t know who/what Weird Al is, but if it’s that wiggling guy they don’t need him. If I closed my eyes and just listened they would get my vote, but Toto, just class and my eyes are open so they win for me.

      I had to put the last 2 BECAUSE they were so different! If you cover a song exactly as the original was… What was the point of covering it? I LOVE genre changes in songs (not to say I loved THESE PARTICULAR ones… I’d actually never heard of them until I was searching the other 2 and they came up so I figured I’d add them for something different)
      I figured all the women in bikinis would get someone’s vote COMPLETELY FOR THE REASON!! “… Wait, you mean they were singing a SONG during that video?? I don’t recall….” 🤔😂

      2. But, I’ve heard some really good covers to really good songs!! Sometimes people need to give up nostalgia and give something else a chance to stand on it’s own, too!
        I like the artists that take a classic song and can change it completely so be something good in its own right. Sometimes it may not necessarily be “better” but fun and different can still be good! 😉

    1. Ha ha!! Funny enough, the first time I heard this song was when my parents got a new Oldsmobile (probably like ’88) and it came with a cassette tape that had this song on it. So, hearing it? That’s EXACTLY the picture that comes to mind!! 🤣🤣 (P. S. I still have that cassette!)
