My (Somewhat Late) New Year’s Plan

Hello All!

I know I have been less than active lately. I’VE MISSED YOU ALL SO MUCH!!! But, between my new job, a promotion at my new job, sickness, the parentals moving away, and the Holidays…. It was a crazy last part of the year!

But, hopefully I have got things together, so I SHOULD be starting to visit you all again and get some regular posts out!!

I’m going to be getting back to my regular schedule! So, this is what my weeks will look like (barring a random blog tour on a different day)

Sunday:

The First Sunday of every moth will be “Sexy Sunday” again! Get ready for some                  steamy scenes!

Other Sundays will be back to “Cozy Sunday” with reviews for cozy romances                      and mysteries

The Last Sunday will be back to “Cozy Sunday: Jane Austen Edition” with a                            review for a cozy Jane Austen Variation

Something new! I will be going back to celebrating some National/International Food  (How I’ve missed them!!) but, since there are SO MANY OF THEM, I’m going to choose a good one coming up each week and make a recipe reflecting it so you can all make your plans to celebrate! I’ll be calling it “Succulent Celebrations”

A couple of things that will be changing….

I’m going to be planning some theme weeks and months. At those times I may have 1 drink to suit the general theme. Frankly, I don’t want to monetize this blog and alcohol is very expensive. I OBVIOUSLY don’t want to lose my boozy theme (and face it, I’ll be drinking anyways) but, making drinks almost every day of the week, taking the pictures and getting all the ingredients is both pricey and time consuming!

This will all be starting February 3rd with a special Superbowl post!

Things to look forward to in February:

In honour of all the Pisces out there in the world I’m going to be doing a theme month in the time of the Pisces! (Feb 19 – Mar 20)

I myself am not a Pisces (LEO FOR THE WIN!!!) But, I have a whole load of wonderful Mermaid themed books and I don’t want to have to wait until the summer to enjoy them and do a theme month…. so, pisces fit the water theme!

I hope you’ll all join me! And, I’ll be around visiting all of your blogs again, as well!!

I am Nicole and I am an avid reader and an alcohol connoisseur.. which it totally different from an alcoholic.. I swear. I am trying to get into the editing world and in doing so I learned that giving my opinions and networking in as many forms of media as I could is the way to get heard! I wanted to create an open forum to pair alcoholic drinks with books based on the theme, feel and/or content of the book. I will warn anyone who joins me here that you will get a very eclectic range of books as I will read anything from Rom Coms, sci-fi, and fantasy to Bizzaro, Steampunk and Biographies, whatever pairs with an interesting drink! I will also say that I am very honest and I will not pander to the popular or feel the need to give a good review just because I got an ARC read of a certain book. I believe that everyone deserves the truth no matter how much it hurts.. EVEN ME! I would love everyone’s opinions! AND LET THE DRINKS FLOW!! (Let’s just not have the drinks make the honesty get TOO out of hand!) ;p

  10. 🤔🤔…….You can hear that sound? It’s my brain…(yes I admit it’s not a pretty sound😂) trying to wrap it’s head around all these plans for your blog…😮😮 But…BAMMM there…the brain finally settled 😂😂 This really does sound seriously awesome. I am looking forward to all you have planned. As you know my health is currently keeping me from blogging….but depending on how things will go…I hopefully will make a return somewhere in March. And in the meantime I will try to check in every once in a while…like I did today: Yay🎉🎉🎉
    Also…the Pisces theme sounds really cool…(and of course that has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I am one myself…no…really it doesn’t….you believe me…right??? 🤔🤔). Seriously…some cool stuff heading our way: Best of luck with all these plans…but eh, you don’t need that: You got this! 😊😊

      I’m hoping I can keep up with all this stuff. I think taking a little break has helped me get my brain in order a little more… Now, if I can just get out of this reading slump I’m in… That would be nice. 😕
      And, don’t think I wasn’t thinking of you a little when I decided to do a theme for pisces. 😘

      1. I’ve missed being around here too 😢 Yeah…I’m still waiting on the final date for my stomache examination (which should be arriving this week). Not that I’m in a rush to get that done (lol😂😂) but…well…hopefully I will get some answers at least 😊
        Yeah….I can understand that: sometimes a little break can definitely help with getting back into the spirit of blogging (almost typed the spirit of Christmas lol 😂😂). As for the reading slump: don’t worry…you will get back into that in no time 😊
        Of course you also had to make me blush as well right? 🤔😘 That last sentence just has one response that pretty much sums it up: awwwwww 😘❤️😊

  13. we’ve definitely missed you! and your drinky-poos! however, it sounds like you’ve had a rough time of it, altho a new job and promotion within can’t be a bad thing. not sure when you have the time to post daily, and envy those who can, but i’ve had to throttle back. i just don’t seem to be able to get it done like y’all. looks like you have some exciting plans in the offing and i can’t wait to see them–COME ON, February!! 🍸 🍹

Ahh glad to see you fully back! ❤ I've been having a bunch of health problems for the past couple of months, so things haven't been a lot of fun, but I'm trying to get back into the groove again. 😀 Can't wait to see all your new/revamped content! Succulent Celebrations and Pisces month sound so good! The star signs changed in 2016 or something so I've gone from an Tauries (stuck between Aries and Taurus because half of those online charts told me I was an Aries and the other half a Taurus…) to a full Aries. 😀

    1. Psh. I won’t even acknowledge that new star sign chart. I have yet to see a horoscope listing with “ophiuchus” on it. So, I feel like everyone agrees with me.
      Also, everyone in my family changed signs and it DEFINTITELY wasn’t them… So, I feel like it’s crazy. (although, I was pretty proud that I was a Leo and after the change… I was STILL a Leo!) I went with the original days for pisces that I’m celebrating. Because, that’s where I think it should stay! 😂

    1. Ya. I think it was all just getting to be a little too much! The reviews take enough time… To add the drink on top of each one was besically double the commitment for one post! .. Not to mention how much booze costs!! (and all the extra things to go in the cocktails!)
