  3. Bliddy awful song, had to learn it on my guitar and sing it at folk clubs when I was a young person. Ridiculous lyrics, ‘how many seas must a white dove sail? Well duh, firstly, doves fly, they don’t get on a boat and trog off on a jolly. Mostly they fly over land, though one turtle dove called Lawford did a round trip of 6000 miles, mostly over land but also over a couple of seas. How many years can a mountain exist before it’s washed to the sea is quite easy to find out on google, they renew themselves every couple of million years.

    I am therefore voting for the Gimmee Gimmees as they appear to be just as stupid as this song. 😀
