Synopsis

My Thoughts

I had read this book ages ago and was surprised at how much less I liked it this time!! Who knew that a book about a sex slave on an island resort that caters to your every sexual need, full of BDSM and debauchery could be SO BORING! Ha ha!

Ok, maybe I’m exaggerating a little. I think my main problem was really with Elliot. For someone who couldn’t wait to come to this island and be someone’s slave he had WAY TOO MANY inhibitions and just got embarrassed all the time! Martin would have been ASHAMED!!

Lisa was also terrible. For someone known as “the perfectionist” and the “boss lady” I wanted to tie her down and give HER a good whipping! I would have beaten Elliot black and blue for his cocky impertinence! (You all know it. I’m not going to hide it!)

“I got a powerful, secret satisfaction from the innocence of her face and voice. And when she looked up at me I winked at her. I could almost swear she blushed as she looked off.”

I found that the writing style was so frantic and descriptive with a lot of flipping between past and present, that half the time I had trouble figuring out what was going on!

I won’t deny that it had some pretty steamy scenes, though!

“I saw her dark curly hair there, tiny curling wisps against the pink skin, and shy, delicate pubic lips, the kind that are almost demurely hidden by the hair. She lowered the phallus and pushed one end of it up and into herself, her whole body moving in a graceful undulation to receive it, the other end curving outwards, and towards me just exactly as if she were a woman with an erect cock. The image was stunning: her delicate form and the gleaming cock rising so perfectly from the tangled curly hair, her face so seemingly fragile, her mouth so deeply rose red. I hardly saw her hands move, or reach up, until I felt her thumbs pressed into my underarms, her face very close to mine as she said, “Turn around.””

I did love the description Anne Rice writes likening this place to a Heironymus Bosch painting “all full of lurid silver and red, and my only chance of getting out again was the lady who’d brought me in. But did I want to get out? Of course not.”

If you want a steamy read that, in my opinion is like “Pretty Woman” meets “50 Shades of Grey” pick up a copy now!!
