……and, although they won’t even be in the running because I feel as though I’m the only one with an unhealthy love of a capella I’m adding in

The Clef Hangers

And, for AJ @ A Petite Slice of Life (because, I try to get versions that sound different from each other, and I find their versions too close in sound, I’ll add Darius Rucker. I found his version too close to Old Crow Medicine Show, so I didn’t add him!)

  1. Old Crow Medicine Show. The video reminded me of my wayward misspent youth at the local county fair. I was a pre-teen back long ago, and the fairs still had “hootchie-cootchie” shows. We would sneak around into the dark shadows, lift up the bottom of the tent and try to catch an eyeful of forbidden female flesh. I remember briefly seeing hips swaying and tassels orbiting around swinging orbs. I can’t remember how many times we were chased away from our peek-shows, but it was a lot more than once. At school the next day or week you can imagine what the conversation centered on in our crowd. Ah, such sweet memories! 🙂

    1. Ha ha! Well, that sounds like a WONDERFUL childhood! Not misspent! I’m sure we’ve all had our forbidden peeks at SOMETHING when we were young… Mine was more in the horror movie variety. Ha ha! But, we all had our sneaky vices, I’m sure! 😂
      Thanks for the vote!!

      1. I’ll have you know Carrie Underwood, Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, et al, all regulars on our playlists here at Fraggle Towers, none of your JohnBoy stuff here! 🤣
