Synopsis

When local girl Misty is found dead in an underground bunker, the town is thrown into a whirlwind of panic and speculation. Times are tough, but the spaced-out farmer community pull together as one, trying to uncover who’s guilty.

Thrown smack in the middle of the chaos is a group of teens: local troublemakers, but with good hearts. Although they’re innocent, the local law enforcers believe otherwise, and the true killer is lurking far too close for comfort.

Will the four be able to uncover the truth before one of them pays the price for Misty’s death?

My Thoughts

Man, I love that cover!!!

Who murdered the local girl Misty? Will they kill again? How will the Hound boys get passed the local prejudice to prove their innocence? In their small county, could the killer really be someone close to them??

After a somewhat jumbled and confusing beginning, Didi guides us on a tale of mystery, murder, prejudice, and love. I adored the relationship between the two brothers Michael and John. I thought that the blooming love between Michael and Chloe was so cute, as well.

There was some crazy gore, and a great twist ending!! For a short story there was a lot that happened!!

Sketch is Best Served with a Farmer’s Daughter Beer from Whitewater Brewing Co.

When the Farmer’s Daughter goes missing in a rural community, maybe relaxing with a beer ISN’T the best idea… but, it’ll sure help with the pain!!

This beer is light and fruity with some tropical notes. Great to refresh after a day of heard work!
