My Thoughts
ANOTHER TRIUMPH!! Kevin J. Kennedy has again compiled an amazing group of writers who have some horrific insight to instill in 100 words. Some a little funny, some a little scary, some down right messed up, and some horrifying beyond belief! Always a great eclectic mix, and a great way to get to know the writing of so many amazing authors in a fun and easy format!!
As always, I’ll give you little taste. But, just realise that there is such a mix that I couldn’t even begin to really show you how amazing this compilation is without spoiling the whole thing!!
Broken Heart by Lee Franklin
“He’s out. Vitals are stable,” echoes a woman’s voice, its familiarity a niggling itch. A point of pressure starts on my chest, a line of heat down to my groin. Pain engulfs my body in a flame of fire, drowning my senses.
I fight, but I can’t even oopen my eyes, my limbs dead weight.
“Saw. Vitals check?”
“Vitals stable,” her face taking form in my memories. I broke her heart once, badly. Now she’s my anesthesiologist.
Nerve endings explode as the heart surgeon grinds through my breastbone.
“Now you know what it feels like,” she whispers in my ear.
And, one of my absolute favourites….. pretty much my every day life. Ha ha!
Everyday Psychopath by RJ Roles.
I stab the man who bumps into me as I enter the bank. Next, when a man cuts me off at the coffee maker, I choke the life out of him with my bare hands. I do everyone in the bank a favor by shooting the woman who dumps a sack full of change onto the counter, attempting to count every coin. I take the pen from the teller and drive it into the lady’s heart in line behind me, for breathing on my neck too hard.
“Next….NEXT!”
“Oh, sorry. I must’ve been daydreaming,” I tell her and smile.
As I said about the last installment in this wonderful collection of Horror Drabbles, EVERYONE NEEDS A COPY!!! I want to try to sent my paperback copies out to be signed by all the authors I can coerce who have been a part of it… THAT’S HOW MUCH I LOVE IT!

100 Word Horrors Part 2 is Best Served with a Corpse Reviver Cocktail
Ok. First the explanation, which a lot of you probably won’t like. But, it makes me LAUGH AND LAUGH!!! So, as usual…. suck it. Ha ha!!
The Rash by Justin Boote
The rash was at Oliver’s balls. This, by its very nature, was extremely disconcerting. No creams worked, they seemed to make it far worse. Finally, when it covered his entire groin, he was forced to visit the doctor. She was mystified.
“Any dubious sexual encounters?” she asked.
A pause.
“No.”
“Visited any exotic countries lately?”
“No.”
Pills and creams then.
It was when it covered his entire body, pus spewing from open sores, he thought about his girlfriend. He really should find another, he thought. She had been dead for three days after all…. who knew what diseases they carried.
….See where I was going with this??? HA HA HA!! Believe me. The drink tastes way better than the taste that was probably lft in your mouth after that!!

Horror and mystery! Geez… WordPress has been dumb lately, and this is the 2nd time in a week that I’ve missed a comment because I didn’t get notified and had to check! 😕 But, I’m dabbling in everything halloween-esque! 😂🍻

OMG, you are too hilarious–a Corpse Reviver Cocktail?? I’m still trying to remember which one sent me straight out to find Grenadine syrup. It’s red–maybe last year’s Halloween cocktail?

Ha ha!! Well, thinking of how many cocktails I’ve done with grenadine… I’ll have to look into that! I’ll let you know if I figure it out, though!

I’m doing standup for Halloween at the Two Roads. Each person only has a couple minutes. A hundred-word horror story would be perfect!

Apparently WordPress refuses to give me my messages. Lol! Luckily I checked!! THAT SOUNDS AMAZING!!!! Would you get the book, or make up your own?? If you make up your own, SEND IT TO ME!!!!

Bought all three volumes on Amazon. I’d send you a video but they don’t allow cameras. It’s a nudie show.
I’m coming up with a cowboy “costume”. Hat, boots, neckerchief, maybe a low slung six shooter. I’ll be singing Ghost Riders in the Sky.

YES!!! READ IT!! I love them so much…. I mean, SO. MUCH. If I could give them 10 out of 5 stars, I would. Being just 100 words long they’re easy to pick up and put down…. But, I DARE you to pick it up and TRY to put it down!! It’s pretty much always my book of the year!
