Hello All!!
Today in 1933 the end of Prohibition came to the United States! So, in Celebration I’ve had a bit of a Post Prohibition party!! Here are some recipes that I enjoyed!
Gin Lime Rickey
For all that leftover bathtub gin!
- 2oz Gin
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- Club Soda
Take a highball glass and fill with ice. Add Gin and Lime juice. Top with club soda.
For an authentic nod to the times before prohibition, try it with Bourbon instead!
Follow is up with a Prohibition Era dinner!
President Franklin D. Roosevelt was reported to have said it best when he said, “What America needs now is a drink.”

Wah! I miss cocktails. My tummy has instituted prohibition of its own… Gin was my favorite. Especially a classic martini… preferred “dirty” with several olives. š

Ha ha! I hear that! I actually have an ulcer and shouldn’t be drinking…. I view that as a SUGGESTION… But, I do have to moderate and live through the pain. Ha ha!!! (#priorities!)
