I hate having to pick a favorite, but if I had to, I would go with Simon and Garfunkel. Aretha and Elvis are still awesome, though.

Simon and Garf! Their rendition is almost enough to make me cry. Reminds me of my little girl all grown up and on her own.

Aretha Franklin though this one was significantly tough because all the versions are pretty good.

Simon and Garfunkel! They’re all equally good but the S&G one does it for me.

They are just so very iconic to this song, it’s hard to go with anyone else!

One vote from me for Simon and Garfunkel and one vote from mom for the same. I didn’t like the Aretha rendition of the song. I would also give a vote for the Ray Coniff version but he wasn’t included in this one.

Simon and Garfunkel is my vote as well. I Think the Next ” who did it better” should be who sang “The Girl from Ipanema ” better

I like both Aretha’s and Elvis’s covers, but hearing Art Garfunkel’s exquisitely pure voice sing this never fails to give me goosebumps.
