Back in the Saddle, on the spaceship, and through the Looking Glass

Hello All,

Everyone has probably wondering where I have been (or, you’ve all forgotten me completely!), let me remind you!

I am Nicole, and I pair books with an alcoholic beverage that matches the books genre, feel, or content. Now, where have I been for the passed year plus?? Well, that’s a long story. I will just say that the pandemic hit me harder than I expected it to, and I had some business issues that needed to be attended to, and reading just wasn’t on the cards!

What to Expect:

-Music Mondays Who Did it Better? (For those of you just joining us, this is where I take multiple versions of the same song by different artists and pit them up against each other) If you have any suggestions for upcoming songs, please comment below!

-Book reviews/drink pairings will be done on Tuesday and Thursday

-National Holidays (I’d like to go back to celebrating strange and unusual National Holidays! But, I will do them on Fridays for the upcoming week so I can give you ideas on how you may want to celebrate!)

-Horror Saturdays (I watched WAY TOO MANY horror movies on my hiatus. I would love to share some of them with you!)

-The last Sunday of every month will be Jane Austen Sunday! I will review a Pride & Prejudice variation book! I also hope to pick up Sexy Sunday again…. what do you say, Vanessa??

I’m hoping that you will all join me again as I share my love of the written word, and alcoholic beverages!!

  1. Music Mondays suggestions:

‘Hey Joe’ -Jimi Hendrix, Golden Cups, Any fifties blues guy.

-‘Satisfaction’ Rolling Stones, Blue Cheer, Devo

-‘Macarthur Park’ Richard Harris , Donna Summer. No! I’m just kidding. They are both horrific.

-‘Viva Las Vegas’ Elvis , Dead Kennedys

Welcome back and Happy Trails, Nicole!
