That’s funny (in a rather “sick” way). “Fat & old?” I believe he was only 26 when he croaked on drugs/alcohol. Fat maybe, but not old. Let’s say he was used up and burnt out. Such a shame.

Love this song! First heard it in The Lost Boys- also a great movie. Got to go with the Doors version again!

I love The Lost Boys!! I almost put the Echo and the Bunnymen cover from that movie… But, it was a little too close to the Doors version and I wanted something with a different sound!

This is a great song and all three versions do it justice, but the Doors take it away. Jim Morrison just sounds so deliciously dark and evil. 🙂

What about Echo and the Bunnymen from The Lost Boys soundtrack? I’m voting for them! I’m just not a big Doors fan

I feel like that version was too close to the Doors version. I wanted covers that had a different sound to it! Maybe I should have included them, though. 😉

Looks like I am in the minority yet again ..The Cog is dead although I do also like the Echo and the Bunnymen version as well 🙂

I love the echo & the bunnymen version as well! I didn’t put it up here because it’s too close to the Doors version. I wanted versions with a completely different sound.

Well I’ll be in the minority as I’m voting for the Cog people. Not keen on the Doors, and thought Morrison vastly over-rated and a bit of a tool really. 🙂
