When I think of Mermaids, I think of the movie ‘Splash’.
Diggin Miss Betty’s version.
Hey, how about a poll on ‘Black Betty’? I know ‘Ramm Jamm’ did the most popular version, and it is arguably the best arrangement for any song, ever, but I know Tom Jones does a bad-ass version and there must be an original out there somewhere.

This is such a hard choice. I’m going to go with Cher but only because it is the version I am most familiar with.

Tough! Diana Ross was a childhood crush of mine. But then so was Cher. I love her contralto. Cher by a whisker!
