Thank you to Shalini @ Digital Reads Blog Tours for having me on the tour today!
Synopsis
Milky thought she was ready for anything, but is she ready for love?
Ready to take on the world, Milky Valdez moves to Madrid to carve out a life and a career for herself, away from the stifling help of her well-meaning, affluent parents. Still young and inexperienced with men, she is shocked when she meets Luke, her handsome, womanizing neighbor, who leads a hedonistic lifestyle as a music producer.
Despite their differences, the two strike up an unlikely friendship.
Milky’s new world changes when she overhears a conversation that leads her to make a rash decision. Giving up her virginity to a friend seems like the easy option, but when she finds out what Luke has given up for her in return, she realizes just how big a risk she’s taking.
My Thoughts
Well, I’m not going to lie, this wasn’t my type of read. As soon as I saw a main character named Milky, I was a little worried. And, the name didn’t help in steamy scenes with a man saying,
“You ready, Milky?”
And, there were also such gems as,
“But, then again, why would he need nice scenery when a woman was eating his dick.”
CLASSIC! But, for those who like a steamy read, it definitely had that going for it! I found the story started ok. There was definitely pretty much insta-love in the mix. They introduce another guy to make you think there may be some conflict, but he wasn’t even really needed, in my opinion, since he was there and gone so quickly.
The ending was a little muddled. 3/4 of the book was your typical kind of romance, and then…. WHAM!!! A sudden change in EVERYTHING! The change was good, but probably would have been better if it was introduced earlier and focused on a little more. It just felt a little rushed.

It was tough to deal with in a steamy romance, I couldn’t imagine a passionate setting screaming “OH MILKY!!” But, it was absolutely an easy, steamy read for summer. 😊

I know! Haha 😀 Philippines sometimes comes up with the most silly names. And they generally like to hide their from the sunlight because most of us like white and I was looking at it from that perspective. Never even thought about it before another reviewer said it haha so when I read it I thought “crap, it can be taken that way!” 😂
